Artas demonstrates it's commitment to green building design

A number of Artas staff have recently become Green Building Council of Australia Accredited Professionals demonstrating our commitment to green building principals on all projects.

 

More than a third of Artas total staff are now registered Green Building Council of Australia Accredited Professionals.

 

Artas commissioned on Alteration to the Queensland Museum 'Whale Mall'

12 January 2010

Artas has been commissioned to design a maintenance access fall arrest system to the iconic 'Whale mall' in the Queensland Museum.

 

The project includes the design and documentation of services access and fall arrest system to allow maintenance contractors to access the site safely in accordance with OH&S requirements.

 

 

Artas commissioned on Illawarra Institute of TAFE Wollongong, Metal Fabrication Facility Upgrade

17 November 2009

Artas has won in competitive tender the redevelopment of the existing Metal Fabrication Facility at the NSW Illawarra TAFE Campus.

 

The project included upgrades of the heavy metal fabrication workshops, welding bays, wash bays, storage areas, Call off rooms, general purpose learning rooms, student amenities, teacher accommodation and teacher amenities.

 

Artas commissioned on new Brisbane City Council Ferry Maintenance Project

The team of Viking industries, MS Projects and Artas has been successful in their competitive bid to develop the new Brisbane City Council ferry maintenance facility at  the Anton Road Marina owned by Viking Industries.

 

The project includes office accommodation, workshops, ferry maintenance bays, ferry washing facilities, straddle lifting facilities, loading/car parking and ferry moorings.

 

Artas commissioned on Randwick TAFE Hydraulic Sustainability Centre

8 October 2009

Artas has won in competitive tender the redevelopment of the existing Hydraulic Trade Centre at the NSW Randwick TAFE Campus into a Sustainable facility designed to showcase and teach sustainability to the students.

 

The project involves alterations to existing teaching spaces and workshops to provide a consolidated teaching facility.  Elements of sustainability will be designed into the facility to act as a real life teaching aid.

 

Artas commissioned on NSW Premiers Sporting Challenge

Artas has won in competitive tender the redevelopment and additions to six specialist sports schools in NSW; Narrabeen, Matraville, The Hills, Westfields, Illawarra and Endeavour.

 

The works include new artificial sports fields, change rooms, recovery rooms, fitness & movement facilities, gym upgrades and materials upgrades.

 

Artas commissioned on new IKEA facility in Sydney

Artas has recently been commissioned by IKEA as the lead consultant for the relocation of their Bulky Goods/Home Delivery service from the Rhodes store in Sydney.

 

The project involves the redevelopment of an existing warehouse facility and the construction of a new adjacent warehouse facility to extend the capacity of the facility.

Artas launches new website to reflect upgraded company submission format

Artas has launched their new look website to reflect the internal redesign of the companies submission format.  The new theme brings a simplified, clean look providing the reader with the information they require within 3 web click from the home page.

Artas wins tender to refurbish the Queensland Museums storage facilities

Artas  has won a competitive tender contract for the redevelopment and extensions to the Queensland Museum's off-site storage facility in Brisbane.

 

The project will start in min May and includes reroofing storage facilities, a new storage warehouse and environmentally controlled facilities.

 

Artas joins the Green Building Council of Australia

As part of our ongoing commitment to Environmentally Sustainable Design, Artas has joined the Green Building Council of Australia.

 

Artas maintains that ESD is an integral part of all projects, not a special process reserved for one off iconic projects.  The membership to the Green Building Council of Australia will provide a further level of technical data, information and support in achieving Ecologically Sustainable Designs on every project.

Artas works closely with UCI on the interior design of their the Launceston office redevelopment

July 2007

When it came to their own office, Artas worked closely with the UCI team to deliver on their brief and office requirements. The outcome is a smooth integration of UCI product into the design and feel of the interior.

 

Artas have won several national awards and in 2002, and 2003, received the RAIA Tasmanian chapter Public Building and Heritage Award.
